The Senator representing kaduna Central in the Upper Chamber Uba Sani has been discribed as a visionary leader whose programs and projects are having positive effects on the lives of kaduna Central Senatorial zone and the state at large.
The Deputy National Chairman, Social Democratic Party, SDP,Dr Abdul Ahmed Isiaq, made the assertion in an interview with the media recently.
According to him Senator Uba Sani is a lover of humanity, a patriot nationalist, a visionary Nigerian, that is blessed with keen foresight to see into the future and thus acts accordingly to be part of such future
Dr Abdul Ahmed Isiaq, who said he was a schoolmate and a friend, of the distinguish Senator
Said Uba Sani went into politics after the return of Democracy in Nigeria in 1999, and supported the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
“After winning the presidential election, Sani was appointed Senior Special advisor on public communications to the President.
“Before then he served as Political Adviser to the Minister of the FCT, holding the same portfolio with addition of inter-government affairs liaison for the Governor of Kaduna State before his ascent to the distinguished position of a Senator representing Kaduna Central in the Senate of the federal republic of Nigeria
” Despite his present position as a serving senator and the unique Senator in charge of the constituency of both Mr. President, the governor of the state and my humble self, he has not been adequately rewarded.
“Not even a national honor, not even naming roads or institutions, or universities after him. This is sad. We must change our values and reward systems in Nigeria. The labors of our heroes must never be allowed to go in vain, unrewarded.
” He had been a kindred spirit in terms of using the platform of the civil society organization to address and solve challenges facing the nation.
” This he started at a youthful stage of his life, this he transformed to when he became active and a fulltime politician.
“So, I laugh when people who don’t know anything about him jump into wrong conclusion to criticized him.
“I can authoritatively tell you that despite his young age, he can be confidently regarded as one of the fathers of our present democratic dispensation, along with the likes of Gani Fawenhinmi, Beko Ransome Kuti, Femi Falana and several others. Many of them paid dearly that we may enjoy freedom thus we salute him.
“Since he took the oath to represent Kaduna Central in the upper legislative chamber of Nigeria’s National Assembly in June 2019, he has indeed used the platform to excellently distinguished himself as a performer and indeed made the aspirations of the people of his constituency the core essence of his legislative and personal pursuits.
” It will shock you to know that he remains one of the senator that remained very close to all the people of his constituency in terms of accessibility feedbacks and prompt responses.
” This is the lesson I would want other senators to take home from him.
” He perfectly reads the unspoken body languages of the needy peoples of his constituency and generously responded and on time. Giving them succor in times of challenge and meeting their needs in ways possible.
” So, you can see for yourself how he has continued to use his office to compliment the vision of the Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i administration. It was in the news recently that he took over the medical bills of some badly-injured constituents within Kaduna Central after a bloody bandits’ attack.
” It will further interest you to know that he has also sponsored some very important bills too, even when some old serving senators, have been unable to sponsor any.
” Some of the Bills he sponsored include the following; the Bill for the establishment of Federal College of Education, Giwa, which he sponsored in consideration of the challenges of the educational sector that has worked against efforts to prioritize.
