Insecurity: Congress Of Northern Nigeria Christians urges Buhari to
match words with action

The Congress Of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC) kaduna State Chapter has called o President Muhammdu Buhari led government and Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai of Kaduna State to match words with action to ensure that insecurity bedeviling t kaduna State Northwest Nigeria is brought to an end.
This was Contained in a statement signed by Elder Bulus Dogara and Rev. Eugene Luka Adamu Chairman and Secretary of the Congress respectively.
The statement stated that the plea became necessary because wherever there is peace there will be rapid development in no small measure, hence the need for government to take decisive steps to ensure the security of people and property.
The Christian leaders said as stakeholders in the project called Nigeria that prays for the peaceful coexistence of the society, the continued abduction of students is a bad omen by opening the eyes of these little ones to what they are going through in the hands of bandits and the fear is that the young ones grow to know criminality in their lives.
They lamented that future of education in the North is seriously being bastardized that the future of the youth is so uncertain.
“With the way insecurity is growing, it has become almost impossible for the farmer to go to farm and the general movement of people to go about their normal way of life is being denied thereby increasing poverty in the land, thereby making the already bad situation worse.
”As a body of Christ, the killings in the society is against the will of God and humanity, and therefore, we are calling on the good people of Nigeria and the Christian body as a whole to please rise up and pray for God’s intervention to touch the hearts of those that have given themselves to killings, kidnapping, rape, maiming and the destruction of properties to have a rethink and stop.
“This is not only good for the society but for the people who are directly involved in the kidnapping.
“CNNC called on the Government, the power that all and sundry are looking up to provide security and peace – and rightly so, to rise up to its responsibility and please get these children and many more release. ” The statement reads.
