NCWS Kaduna chapter inaugurates new exco
The National Council of Women’s Societies, (NCWS) Kaduna state Northwest Nigeria, chapter has inaugurated a 15-Member new executive committee with Barr. Zainab Hassan, as it President.
Barr. Hassan and 14 orders were unanimously selected into the various offices to spearhead the affairs of the Council in the state.
The new exco was inaugurated in Kaduna yesterday by the National President, NCWS, Mrs. Gloria Shoda on 15th July, 2021.
She called on the new exco to put in their best to better the lives of the women.
Shoda also urged them to be good ambassadors of the council all all times.
The newly sworn in kaduna State President in her acceptance speech said she would use her office for selfless and kind gesture to promote the unity of women.
Barrister Hassan said she would ensure that the plights of women were addressed, create forum for skills acquisition programmes, ensure loans for agriculture for women particularly at the grassroots.
She thanked the almighty Allah and the women of kaduna State for giving her the opportunity to serve.
“I will hold lots of sensitisation campaign particularly at the grassroots to educate women on the need to joinn politics.
“My administration will ensure that more women get interested in politics at all levels and we will mobilised women to vote for them.
“My administration will also encouraged the widows to be self-reliant and not see widowhood as the end of life,” she promised.
The president gave the assurance that her team would also take care of the widows and children with special needs by integrating them into the society and giving them a sence of belonging.” She said.
In her remarks, the outgoing State chapter President, Chief (Mrs.) Deborah Dan Ishaya, thanked members for the support given to her and the exco during their, and solicited for similar support for the incoming exco.
Similarly, Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, who welcomed the national officers to the state assured them of Mal. Nasir El-Rufa’i’s led administration partnership.
The following officers also took oath of office alongside the President. They are; Bilhatu Ndaks, 1st Vice President; Fatima Muhammad Umar 2nd Vice President; Maijinya S. Baba, 3rd Vice President; Margaret Nkom, State Secretary; Madiiwat Shode Assistant Secretary 2; Juliana H. Caeser, Assistant Secretary 3, and Alheri Nicholas – Treasurer.
Others include; Rahila Dominic – Financial Secretary, Esther Yarison, Susan Ezekiel Bosan, Falmata Abacha and Hauwa Ishaya.
