Steer-off crimes, Kaduna Vigilante boss Urges youths
The Commandant, Kaduna State Vigilance service ( KADVS), Mr. Joseph Kogi has called on Kaduna state youths to steer off all forms of criminalities and diverge their energy into productivity ventures that would e beneficial to them and the state.
He stated this when he received a team from Connected Development( CODE), during an advocacy visit on youth inclusion in the service, on 24 August, 2021.
Mr. Kogi said the youths are developmental pillars of any society, but expresses dismay that most of the crimes perpetrated today are by some misinformed youths.
He, therefore, said the future belongs to the youths and they must be part to make their future bright
Speaking on youth inclusion in the system, Mr. Kogi said his organization is youth-friendly as 255 wards coordinators In the 23 local Government of Kaduna state are youths.
He called on CODE to embark on sensitizing the youths on been used as agents of destructions by merchants of ethno-religious conflicts.
Speaking earlier, the Project Assistant of CODE, Abubakar Muhammed Yayanko said CODE in partnership with YIAGA Africa with support from Action aid is implementing a project to strengthen youth Focus service delivery in Kaduna state.
He said they are looking at three thematic areas; Education, Health, water sanitation, and Hygiene
He commended KADVS role in ensuring a safe Kaduna for all and promised his Organization support to ensure that KADVS aims and objectives are attained.
