The Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria(IPAC) an umbrella of registered political parties in Nigeria recognized by INEC and NIPPS has commended Kaduna State government and the state Independent electoral commission( KAD-SIECOM) over the smooth conduct of the 4th September Local Government council election across the 19 LGAs in the state
The State chairman of IPAC, Mallam Mikailu Abubakar disclosed this why speaking to the media in Kaduna North West Nigeria on the 7th September 2021.
Mallam Mikailu said the election, though witnessed some pocket of problems here and there like Mal-function of the E- machine in some areas, it was a consensus that the election is Violent free.
He said the E-Voting machine used in this 2021 election is an upgrade of what was used in 2018, which make the election process very easy and fast
Mikailu noted that traditional snatching of ballot boxes during elections was starting reduced.
He also noted that the pattern of voting in this particular election is very interesting because the people came out to who will deliver and not the party, which he described as a welcome development in the political process.
He however called on the Kaduna State government and KAD-SIECOM to look at the entire election and make amendments in areas that there is a gap for future sake.
