The Technical Adviser of the group, Dr. Suleiman Tanko made the plea during a stakeholder meeting held in Kaduna yesterday
According to him, the State has been making progress in the area of child spacing but this is the third quarter of the year, and no fund has been cash backing the service.
He said stakeholders at the meeting agreed that this will affect the childbirth spacing in the state unless something urgent is done.
Chairman of FHANI, Alhaji Bala Muhammed Tijjani said the stakeholder decided to come together to harp on the need for funding child spacing and family planning in the state.
He lamented that it has been a source of concern to them to notice a backward slide in terms of the performance of the state in regards to funding and the general performance of the service.
Alhaji Tijjani who is also the Bunun Zazzau said Child spacing is a developmental issue because populations ought to grow in proportion to the economy
