The Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, (ANEEJ) and its eight other organisations across the country as a cluster to implement an anti-corruption and the social inclusion reform project is organizing a town hall meeting on December 21, 2022 in Abuja to hear from political parties and their candidates on the issues of anti-corruption.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Executive Director of ANEEJ, Reverend David Ugolor, made available to newsmen in Kaduna yesterday.
The statement stated that the arrangement is part of the Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement (SCALE) project, which Palladium is currently implementing with support from USAID.
The statement explained that the anti-corruption cluster wants to engage with political parties and/or their candidates to discuss the mainstreaming of anti-corruption issues into their manifestos and campaigns ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“The anti-corruption cluster and civil society leaders want to hear from the political parties and/or candidates how they plan to address issues of corruption and inclusion when they are elected into office”, the statement reads.
