Yuletide: NSCDC deploys 5,000 personnel to bolster security in Kaduna

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has deployed over 5,000 officers to ensure the security of lives and safety of property in Kaduna state during the Yuletide celebration.
This was contained a statement by the State Director of Information (SDI), DSC Habeeb Badamasi and made available to media in Kaduna.
The statement stated that the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr.  Godwin U. Miebi, said as part of the corps’ culture of ensuring the security of lives of citizens and Critical National Infrastructure, the command has approved the deployment of no fewer than 5,000 personnel to places of worship, markets, recreational centers,  motor parks, restaurant, and bars critical national assets among others.
The statement added that the operation is to be spearheaded by three(3) Area Commanders.
To this end, the State Commandant has since directed that the Area Commanders revamp their security apparatus in line with global best practices while taking into consideration security within and around their domains.
“In the spirit of a crime-free Christmas celebration, the State  Commandant has also directed that the Operation Yaki Component of the NSCDC, the Counter-Terrorism Unit, the Female Arms Squad, Rapid Response Squad, the Antivandal Unit to ensure consistent patrol of these spots before, during and after the yuletide season.
“While expressing appreciation to people of Kaduna State in this outgoing year 2021 for their compassion and co-operation, he urges the people to always volunteer useful information to them to consistently fight crimes and criminality in the state.”
Dr. Godwin U. Miebi felicitated with all Christians in the state as they join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate Christmas, urging them to emulate the life and teachings of Christ by promoting peaceful co-existence among people irrespective of tribal, ethnic, religious, and political leanings.
