National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) has said the year 2022 will usher in hope, restoration and peace in Nigeria.
Kaduna State president of the society, Barr. Zainab Hassan asserted this while speaking to the Media in Kaduna yesterday.
She praised Nigerians for their resilience in the face of daunting security and economic challenges in the year 2021.
Barr. Zainab Hassan noted that Nigerians demonstrated an indomitable spirit for survival against unbeaten security and harsh economic situation that was compounded by the raging Covid-19 pandemic.
According to her, the year 2021 was no doubt challenging, especially for women who are at the receiving end.
She, however, expressed happiness that Nigerians rose to the occasion, saying the lessons of the past year will serve as a useful instrument that will guide them to fruition in the years.
The NCWS President commanded Kaduna state people for standing by the government through thick and thin, urging the government to implement policies, programmes and projects that have direct and positive impact on the citizens especially the women.
She urged Kaduna residents to cooperate with security agencies to keep the state free from the criminal activities of the bandits kidnappers, stressing that, “in doing so, they must endeavour to give useful information to government through security operatives in order to nip any threat in the bud.”
This, she said was necessary to ensure smooth and orderly society as the nation commence the 2022 journey.
