A Senatorial aspirant on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Usman Ibrahim Sardauna Badarawa has said the security challenges bedeviling the seven local government areas in Kaduna Central Senatorial zone will be a thing of the past if elected into the upper chamber
He asserted this when he declared intention to contest for the 2023 Senatorial seat in the Zone.
Hon. Ibrahim said he is already discussing with security experts and those who have the knowledge on how to mitigate the challenges.
He,therefore called for support and vowed that if he becomes the Senator of Kaduna Central, the people of the district will not regret.
He added that, amongst the politicians contending for Senate seat in the party, he is the bonafide member of the party because he has been in the party since its formative days in 1999, adding that, other contenders for the Senatorial seat came and met him in the party.
“So, when talking about the real people of PDP, I’m among them,” he said.
He further stated that, I stand before this exalted gathering, as a proud member of the strongest opposition party in Africa, the PDP. One party with transformational leadership strength and developmental drive in this great country.
We shaped the standard of governance in Nigeria and Africa for 16 years and this instilled my love for PDP and subsequently other loyal party stalwarts, both men and women with the spirit of unshakeable patriotism.
The huge obstacle before us is to reinstate the broken legacies of the past years, built by our great party, the PDP in the area of sound policies, good governance and leadership excellence.
The businessman cum philanthropist also made it clear that he is not scared of political fight and that he has the popularity and strength to face anyone, politically.
He also shared 700 bags of Rice and N20M (Twenty Million Naira) in cash to PDP Stakeholders, PDP Executives, and Ward Chairmen of the Seven Local Government Areas of the zone.
