Banditry: Matawalle donates 200 vehicles to Security Agencies, 260 to Emirs

In order to boost the morale of the security agencies and ensure that the fight against bandits and other criminal elements is sustained, the Zamfara state Governor, Bello Muhammed Matewalle has presented 200 Hilux Patrol van to the joint Security operatives in the State.

 

The Vehicle, according to the Governor is to assist the security operatives to solve the problem of logistics faced at their various locations.

 

The Matawalle good gesture to the Security operatives dated back last year, when he graciously donated Over 200 patrol vans to them.


The security agencies that benefited from the  are Nigerian Police, Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Civil Defence Corp, Nigerian Immigration, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal road safety corp, the joint task force of Operation Hadarin daji, Hisbah commission, Zamfara road traffic agency, ZAROTA, and EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office.

 

It is no more a news that one of the cardinal points of Matawalle is to address the issue of banditry, kidnapping, Cattle rustling as well as, efficiency for real time monitoring of security situations in the state, he has continued to support.

 

This Vehicle has in no small measure contributed to the recent victory in the fight against the criminal elements as the logistics problem of the various security agencies were addressed.

 

Similarly, in his acknowledgement of the role of traditional rulers, especially the emirs in abating the security challenges faced in the state, the governor recently donated 260 luxurious car to the traditional rulers.

 

The cars Include several 2019 ‘Cadillac Models’.

 

Speaking on this gesture, the governor said the royal fathers are playing critical roles in the security of the state and the car donation will strengthen their efforts to address the challenges.

 

“The car donations from the state Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs was part of the responsibility of the government being delivered to the traditional rulers just as others government ministries are also doing without people saying nothing”

 

The gesture is to recognise the status of the traditional institutions as the custodians of religion, culture and vehicle of cohesion and peace in the state”.

“It is in view of the high esteem with which my administration regards our traditional leaders and institutions that we decided to procure brand new cars, Cadillac 2019 Model, for 17 Emirs, 13 Senior District Heads and 230 District Heads across the State,” he said.

 

“Governor Matawalle assured that his administration will continue to work with traditional and religious leaders to ensure lasting peace and harmony in the state.

 

“I would like to assure you that my administration will continue to work in line with the mission of uplifting the dignity and sanctity of our traditional institutions through all possible means. We are currently rehabilitating and reconstructing some of the palaces of our emirs across the State. Some of these projects would soon be completed”.
