A Christian cleric and Kaduna state overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church Pastor Jerry Asemota has called on the churches in Nigeria to promote Unity and serve as agents of positive change.

He stated this during the  One Million Man Match, to sensitive Nigerians on the forthcoming Global Crusade with Kumuyi GCK.

Pastor Asemota said Church leaders should teach their members. on peaceful coexistence and showing love to all and sundry.

He encouraged members of the Commission and Christians, in general, to believe that the numerous challenges faced by Nigerians would be a thing of the past if they would only believe.

According to him the church of God cannot afford to be divided, saying that although there is a difference in doctrines, “we are one in Christ,” he said.

Reading from the Book of Amos 5:24 the cleric added that with righteousness and justice the country will be better, therefore he admonished every Nigerian to ensure this.

Pastor Asemota also said that the GCK programme, which had been held in some states in Nigeria but watched and followed globally, would bring about tremendous and positive changes to society.

According to him the GCK programme, will begin on Thursday and end on Sunday

“Unfortunately, we are not as united as we should be, the call is that we must be one, what affects church a affects church if we learn to be our brother’s keeper these things will be reduced to the minimum. If anything is going on in another church I shouldn’t say it because it’s not my church I don’t care,” he said

The clergy called on Nigerians to pray for those in leadership position in the country and shows love and care to everybody even if they are of a different faith because that is the teaching of Christ.
