The National Chairman of the Action Alliance (AA), Dr Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, has enjoined Muslims to sustain the lessons of Ramadan till the end of their lives and pray for God’s intervention for wisdom for the incoming administration at all levels.
He expressed this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Kaduna to felicitate with the Muslim faithful on the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
He enjoined Muslims to sustain the spirit of sacrifice, perseverance, commitment to God’s activities, and enhancement of prayers among other good deeds associated with the month of Ramadan.
Hon. Omoaje called on Muslims and other Nigerians to have faith and trust in God as well as believe in Nigeria’s greatness.
The AA Chairman further called on the people to continue to pray and strive for the nation’s unity, peace, progress, and development as well as insecurity and other challenges.
He tasked wealthy individuals in society to extend hands of love to the less privileged ones in order to improve their standard of living and give them a sense of belonging in society.
He enjoined political, religious, traditional, and community leaders to continue to preach peace and love among their followers.
He urged Nigerians to unite, embrace peace, tolerate one another irrespective of their differences, and remain committed to constituted authorities for development to thrive and have a fair society.
He said that Ramadan taught Muslims to imbibe the spirit of patience, tolerance, and love, which should be incorporated into the life of every believer.
“Throughout Ramadan, empathy, sympathy, and love exist and prevail; now that Ramadan is coming to an end, we should not let it die. Ramadan is going, leaving fasting, mercy, and love in our midst. Let us hold it and, most importantly, the lesson of devotion to the Almighty and humanity,” he added.
