Tears, pains as 39 years old NAN Correspondent buried in Kaduna

The remains of the late Kaduna Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Hassana Muhammed Yakubu yesterday was committed to Mother at Bachama Cemetery Tudu Wada amidst tears and sorrow.
The last prayer was held for her at her Kano Road, resistance Kaduna, and graced by members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna Council, clerics, friends, and colleagues.
Late Miss Hassana Muhammed Yakubu died on the 9th of October 2023 after a protracted illness
The funeral saw family members, friends, and colleagues of the deceased wearing long faces and eyes full of tears as they came to pay their last respects.
A cleric Mallam Mohammed Abbas said the corpse of the late Hassana was a message on its own to everyone, saying it shows that everyone has an appointment with death any day.
“We are not praying that we die young like her, but when death shall come, where is the last place you shall go?’’
Clerics took turns praying for the family and her twin sister at the graveside, after which the corpse was carried by friends and family members for interment.
NUJ members, relatives, and friends of the late Hassana paid glowing tributes to the deceased in separate interviews at the graveside.
The Former Vice president of NUJ Zone ‘A’ Yusuf Idris described the unexpected death of the late Hassana as a tragedy, not only for the family but also for NAN and NUJ families.
It is a sad moment for the entire staff of NAN and the NUJ, family at large We pray to God to comfort her family members.
“May the Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her gentle soul Aljannat Firdausi as her final abode,” he said
Chairman, NUJ, Kaduna Council Asmau Yawo Haliru, trying hard to control tears, tears described the demise of Hassana as unfortunate, saying that it will take the union a long time to recover from the shock.
“It is unfortunate that we lost Hassana at this tender age.”
According to her, she was diligent in her duties until she breathed her last.
“We pray Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannatul Firdausi.” She said
Similarly the Kaduna Zonal Manager News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Abubakar Ahmed
Said late Hassana Worked under supervision despite her health challenges, she was concerned about other people’s welfare and she inspired others to be dutiful.
“We have lost her and we pray that God will grant her eternal rest and take care of her family Especially her Twin sister,” he said.
In his remark, the General Manager of Liberty Radio and Television Abdulaziz Abdulkadir who is a relation of the deceased said no one can question Allah and he believes his sister has gone to rest in paradise.
It will be recalled that Hassana Muhammed Yakubu was born on 27 Feb 1984 and attended the Department of Mass Communication Kaduna Polytechnic in 2006 and 2009 for her National Diploma and Higher National Diploma respectively.
She did her one-year mandatory youth service in 2010 and started Work with NAN in 2012.
She is survived by her aging mother, siblings, and her twin sister Husseina Muhammed Yakubu also of the NAN Kaduna office.
