Group Harps on Use of ICT to Fight Crime in Kaduna

has opined that the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the provision of solutions to human, social and Industrial challenges has proven successful in many nations and Nigeria should not be an exception
The Chief Executive Officer of the Group Mohammed Bayero Yayandi asserted this during a visit to the commandant of Kaduna State Vigilante Services (KADVS) at the Headquarters in Kaduna yesterday

sector has grown significantly, resulting in massive amounts of data being generated daily
He added Kaduna citizens must awaken to employing Information Technology Communication (ICT) tools to curb fake news.
Bayero lamented that fake news is one of the tools that the enemies of the country are using to create insecurity hence there is a need for Kaduna residents to arise and use Digital tools to counter the circulation of fake news intended to cause pandemonium in the society.
He disclosed that his organization is the kick-starting project “Kaduna Digital Peace Promotion Advocates Project (KADPAP) “and 40 Kaduna residents will be trained on digital technology and some of them will be Personnel of KADVS
The advent of advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) provides a gateway to identify suspicious digital patterns indicative of crime.
“These technologies provide real-time transaction monitoring, allowing for a proactive approach to crime prevention,” he said.
In his response, the Deputy Commandant of KADVS Khalid Mohammed expressed the willingness of his organization to partner with any organization working to promote peace in Kaduna State.
According to him, there is no development amidst rancour therefore all hands must be on deck to ensure a peaceful atmosphere.
