A Business entrepreneur and Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), in Kaduna state Hon. Usman Anto has awarded scholarship worth N40,000 to
over 100 students from Jema’a /Sanga Federal Constituency in Kaduna state.
Speaking at the Presentation of the award ceremony in Gwantu, Anto who is aspiring for Federal House of Representatives race for Jema’a /Sanga Federal Constituency said, he has institutionalized the award for the rest of his life.
He added that the scholarship scheme is what he intends to institutionalize a legacy that he will want to leave behind for his Children to continue.
“I will continue with this and keep improving on a yearly basis for the rest of my life, by the grace of God”
Hon. Anto explained that Education is the bedrock of any nation that want to develop, any community that want to grow and any person that wants to develop.
Speaking on what motivated him to dole out the scholarships, he said is a way of giving back to the community what was given to him.
According to him, he is a product of the locality, and bit more fortunate than others, Hence, he feels he need to give others the opportunity that they needed to develop themselves.
He disclosed that aside the scholarship scheme, he has also embarked on massive renovation of Boreholes across 5 Wards.
“We have done Ninzam North, Ninzam South and Gwantu and today we have given a sum of N940,000 to Nandu Ward and is going to be executed in two weeks time and then move to other areas.
“In addition to all of that, we are trying to support what Gov.Nasiru El-rufai’s administration is doing, supporting what he is doing at the Center, we are motivated to contribute our quarters, so that the party will do very well across the board.
“Gov. El-rufai is doing well and he is our Paragon Who once said, “when good people don’t come out and participate in politics, the bad people will have their way
“We have a Paragon also in Her Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, a very good mother; in fact, she is the motivating factor that made me to aspire.” he said.
The representative of Uchu Ninzam, the Hakimi Ninzam, Ibrahim Mamman (Sarki Rafin Ninzam) thanked Hon. Anto for the scholarship awards and the renovation of Boreholes across Jema’a/Sanga Constituency.
“He is touching people’s lives in many facets. With these initiatives he has shown that he put human health and the development of Jema’a/Sanga in his priority list”.
He also urged the beneficiaries of the award to ensure that they utilize the resources for the purpose which it was given to them.
He then pleaded on behalf of the people of Sanga LGA that Jema’a LGA should support their people since they, Sanga people, have supported their own politicians for 24 years of dominance by the seat of the House of Representatives.
He went further to say, for equity and justice to prevail merry should go round.
