In a move aimed at deepening awareness of its programs and improve the knowledge of the members of the Christian faith on Kaduna State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme, the Director General of Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA), Mr. Abubakar Hassan embarked on a sensitisation visit to Churches in Kaduna South Local Government Area.
Speaking at the meeting held at Ife-oluwa Baptist Church, Kabala West, Mr. Hassan informed the congregation that the understanding for the sensitization was reached at parley between the State chairman of CAN, Reverend John Joseph Hayab and the Authority during a courtesy visit.
He said the sensitization programme was initiated by the management to reach communities and the informal sector population, with the aim of not leaving anyone behind in the Healthcare system.
According to him, the whole essence of the visit was to prevent out of pocket spending to Kaduna state residents irrespective of class and status, saying with 10,650 Naira, one is entitled to enrol with the authority.
He disclosed that the enrollment is not limited to, any ailments and enrollees have opportunities to select their Primary Health care facilities.
In his remark, the secretary of CAN, Kaduna South LGA, Reverend Ma’aji Caleb said the authority should endeavour to pass the enrolment forms to the head of blokes who will latter to pass it across to the local churches where members will fill and return back to the authority.
He assured KADCHMA of the religious body continual support and his best to take the health insurance scheme to the residents of Kaduna State.
