KADCHMA To Partner Jema’a Legislative Council In Contributory Health Enrollment

The Kaduna State Contributory  Health Management Authority (KADCHMA)
is set to partner Jema’a legislative council to ensure that the health Contributory enrollment scheme gets to the grassroots and ensures more participation.

The Director-General of KADCHMA, Hon. Abubakar Hassan stated this when he received members of the Local Government (LG) legislative council who paid him a working visit on Wednesday in Kaduna.

Hon Hassan noted that the health contributory scheme is one of the interventions of the state government to help reduce the hard of pocket expenses, he said.

He explained that over 100,000 vulnerable are already benefitting from the scheme and tasked the councilors to take the good news to their people so that they will not be left out.

According to him, with N10,500 as enrolment fees, a patient can access healthcare at the 255 primaries, secondary, and tertiary health facilities across the state.

He explained that over 500,000 have already enrolled in the scheme, but expressed dismay that the majority of the beneficiary is based in the metropolis.

He therefore tasked the councilors as the closest arms of government to the grassroots to embark on massive enlightenment of their people in the contributory health scheme.

Speaking to the media shortly after the visit, the Speaker Jema’a Kagoma ward, Hon. Armstrong Lacksam Maichibi expressed appreciation to the Mallam Nasir el-rufai administration for the health intervention program.

He also expressed gratitude to the Governor for appointing one of them as the DG of the KADCHMA, Hon Abubakar Hassan.

Maichibi, therefore advised residents of Kaduna to make good use of the health program, saying that is a golden opportunity.
