LP Gubernatorial candidate Asake sets to flag off Campaign on 6th February

The gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party (LP), in Kaduna State Hon. Jonathan Asake is set to flagged off his governorship campaign ahead of the March governorship election in the state.

Kaduna State Labour Party Chairman, Auwal Tafoki, disclosed this during a press conference held at the campaign secretariat on 3rd  February, 2023.

Asake, a grassroots politician is focusing his campaign on a five-point agenda which  would ensure growth, prosperity and development  of  the  state if elected Governor in March 2023.

The former House of Representatives  member and immediate past president of  Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) will kicks start the  campaign in Zaria  on the 6th February, 2023.

The  Chairman said Asake will inform the people how he will handle the deteriorating security situation in the state, which according to had crippled agriculture, education, trade, investment and general economy of the capital of the old northern region, the hub of business activities in the past.

According to him, Kaduna state is the epicentre of insecurity which radiates to other states surrounding it like Katsina, Zamfara, Niger, Nasarawa and Plateau, which all suffer insecurity.

Similarly, Tsahiru Bako, Director-General, Asake/Bashir Campaign Organization noted that the Party candidate was in the race to add value to the people whom he claimed, were living in abject poverty, saying that he would reclaim the state from its current state of decadence.

He  assured  that  Asake  would tackle the spate of insecurity that has over the years, prevented farmers from going to farm to till the soil.

The Labour Party said it will run an inclusive government and ensure fair representation that will provide  effective leadership to resolve the challenges facing the state.

The Party listed Security, Sports, Women and Youth Development, Human Capital Development, Inclusive Economic and Infrastructural Development, Institutional Reforms  as key tripod he would build his administration on if elected.
