Naira swap: Arewa Group cautions political actors on Unguarded utterances

A Group under the auspice of the Matasan Hausa Development Initiative, said Nigeria is in a time of high political activities, hence political actors should guide their utterances in regards to the Naira swap.
The was contained in a statement by Mohammed Saidu, Grace Sankut, Ahmed Zagi and Idris Inuwa respectively.
The Group also called for the immediate arrest of the person behind the faceless Aboki FX an unlicensed single person living in London and has been posting on the CBN website since 2015.
Matasan Hausa Development Initiative urges the Security agents to immediately trace and arrest those behind the Aboki FX because Nigerians are suffering from his illicit fraudulent financial activities.

The Group said the CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele has worked hard for the nation and they thank him for convincing President Muhammadu Buhari to extend the swapping date to 10th February 2023.
“We urge the CBN to in days coming put other measures in place that will alleviate the problems being encountered by the people in swapping their old Naira notes for new ones, if the notes are not enough, the CBN have to consider printing more currency notes to eliminate the current scarcity amongst ordinary people especially the rural dwellers who need them for their daily transactions.
“Banks should be ordered to work on weekends to address urgent needs. We support the cashless economy policy and call on all patriots to do the same because of its advantages.
“It will help reduce the flow of illicit fund in our economy, defeat the funding of terrorism, deter the circulation of drugs, money, fight corruption and will it easy to trace ransom money amongst other things.
“The merit of the new Naira policy outweighs the little inconvenience now being experienced.” The statement reads
